Sitting, Reaching & Rolling?
Elijah has learned so much this week!!! He can sit independently for a couple minutes and topples over when he gets distracted by something else going on. He is reaching constantly for toys or anything that looks intriguing (like this keyboard)...here's a message from him:

He hasn't learned his letters yet, but he tells me the translation is: Love to my fans out there, keep the messages coming, I want 99999999 comments!
We are still working on rolling over, but according to a developmental expert who evaluated him (our friend Michelle ;) he is doing spectacular on gross and fine motor skills and wonderful on social skills. Anybody who even looks in his direction gets a smile and if you do something silly (or just scare him with "peek-a-boo" or the like) he laughs.

Good ol' days
It's not too often that we let Elijah fall asleep on us anymore because we're trying to help him learn to put himself to sleep, but the other day I just couldn't resist it. It made me realize how much he has grown..I pulled out an old pic of him at 3 weeks old

Hot days in Boston
With the heat comes....naked babies! Friday was in the 90's here in Boston, so we pulled out the window AC units, stripped Elijah down to his skivvies and let him do his thing. He was loving it!
Bruce does this funny thing where he jiggles Elijah and it makes him L-A-U-G-H! We have a really funny video that goes with this picture, I'm just having trouble getting the videos to load up right.

Exersaucer
Just a couple cute pics of him playing in the Exersaucer..he loves it and jumps all around, throwing the toys off and waiting for them to magically appear again.
Trying new foods
We're at the stage where Elijah can try lots of new foods. He's definately enjoying some more than others..take a peek at what he's had.

Today he tried frozen apples put into this teething toy, which he thoroughly enjoyed! He sucked on it for a long time and kept coming back to it while he was playing. He loved the sweetness of the apple, and the cold just made it that much better.

Bananas..wasn't huge on these (maybe that was mom's influence because she doesn't like them)..or maybe it was because it was mixed with prune juice because the first day he had them he got reallllllllly constipated. We'll be skipping these for a bit.
Animal cracker..we just let him suck on one for a minute, don't think he's really ready for them. I was just eating them and he looked interested. He really liked them though!
More to come!!

Happy Mother's Day!
I hope all you mothers had a wonderful Mother's Day this year. It was my first mother's day and I must say that I love the tradition!! ;) Elijah made me a card (with help from Dad of course)..you can see the fun they had below. My first question was "I hope you used washable paint!" They did. I LOVED my card from Elijah. They also got me a Starbucks gift card, which is wonderful..I've been taking Elijah on a walk through the neighborhood usually every day and there's a Starbucks about 15 minutes away that I can stop at now to get a caramel frapuccino! Yummy!! Enjoy the pics below:
I love sweet potato!
We made sweet potatoes on Sunday and Elijah had his first taste on Monday morning..he loves sweet potatoes. He kept opening his mouth like a little bird and saying "ahh" to have more. It was just adorable!

Eating toes
We were practicing sitting up today and all Elijah wanted to do was bend down and eat his toes. This kid puts anything in his mouth!
Standing up!
Elijah really loves to stand up and can even do it by himself (when he's holding on to something)..he's getting so big so fast!

Roll over
We've been helping Elijah practice rolling over..he's getting better but not able to do it on his own.
Chick-fil-A
We all went to the Burlington Mall on Saturday ... our favorite mall to go to simply because of Chick-fil-A. Elijah enjoyed sitting in the big boy chair and eating some nuggets (really, gramma he just chewed on the box..he's not big enough for the nuggets yet).

Trip to Drumlin Farms
Morgan and Elijah took a trip to Drumlin Farms in Lincoln, MA with Shosh and her 2 kids (Caleb - 3 years, Naomi - 7 months). It was a beautiful, sunny 75 degrees..perfect weather for an outing. There were lots of kids and moms out..we were saying that if you were in the market for a stroller, it's a perfect place to check out lots of different kinds of strollers.
