First solids

Today Elijah had his first rice cereal. Not sure how much of it actually made it into the tummy, but he didn't mind too much eating from a spoon. It was a nice break for me because he's been eating full meals every 2 hours the past day and a half..think he's growth spurting. After not eating well for 2 weeks because he was sick, he's finally getting back to being his cute chunky self.

Snuggle with baby bear

Elijah likes to fall asleep snuggling next to "Baby Bear" and sucking on his paci. I think it's just adorable. Poor baby bear's ears and face get sucked on so much that they get kind of crusty...luckily he's machine washable. :)

Chick Magnet

Elijah smiles and laughs *A LOT* ... just about anything will make this kid smile.


He can sit up on his own for *brief* periods at a time (we're talking seconds here)...

And stand up for *long* periods of time with support to his hips or holding his hands

Are we done with all the exercise yet mom? I'm pooped!


Did you notice the chick magnet shirt? Our friends Shannon & Blake got us that onesie. We have started putting Elijah in a lot of his 6-9 month clothes (he's a chunker!) so we got to pull this outfit out.

We put Elijah to sleep on the ottoman today, and found him doing some excellent tummy time when he woke up. What was he trying so hard to look at you ask? Scroll down and you'll see.

THE TV!!
I guess babies are like a magnet for the colors on the tv. We try to shield his eyes when it's on, but sometimes we find he just can't help himself.

Sorry it's so wobbly and moves around a lot...it's hard to be the videographer and an actor at the same time. Here's a quick video of Elijah laughing...so cute, how can you not smile?

Teething? Or just fussy?

I don't know if Elijah is going through teething or what -- he wants to chew on EVERYTHING. Any toy you give him goes directly to his mouth for him to lick, suck, bite or chew on. He's also been pretty fussy the last couple days, especially while nursing. I read that these can be signs of teething, but I'm not convinced. He's not even 4 months old yet! He seems to really like frozen wet washcloths, ice cubes, fingers (his or ours), his duck, red bird, lion or elephant. Really he's not too picky - as long as it stays in his mouth.

Happy birthday Morgan & Shosh

Friday was Morgan and our friend Shosh's birthdays. Dave and Shosh took us out to eat at this delicious Moroccan restaurant in Charlestown called Tangierino. The decor inside was absolutely beautiful! Shosh and I were saying how we'd love to have a bedroom decorated in the Moroccan theme. Our friend Lacey watched Elijah for us so that we could enjoy a child-free night! It was wonderful to spend some adult time, without talking (too much) about the kids. I had a good birthday this year - I got a new pair of glasses which will be ready this week (picture coming soon). And I plan on using a bit of birthday money that I got to buy a few new tops.
